Light, crisp, dry distilled spirit, colorless and flavorless, distilled from grain (most common being corn, rye and wheat). Distilled at high proof to remove flavor, filtered through activated charcoal. Vodka is not aged. Many countries claim to have invented Vodka, among them Poland and Russia. Since Vodka is relatively free of flavor or aroma, it is extremely versatile. Most popular uses are Bloody Mary, Screwdriver, Gimlet, Martini, Black Russian.
