Whiskys: A spirit, aged in charred oak barrels obtained from the

distillation of fermented mash of grain (barley, corn, malt, rye or wheat). Produced in the United States, Canada, Scotland and Ireland.

Scottish and Canadian spelling = “whisky”

American and Irish spelling = “whiskey”

Bourbon: A straight whisky originally made in Bourbon County, Kentucky from a mash of corn, rye and barley. Corn content must be 51% of the mash. Must be aged in new charred white oak barrels for at least two years.
