ACA Bass Fishing Series

SCHOOL OF THE YEAR PROGRAM

The goal of every college fishing program is to win the Bass Pro Shops School of the Year title, there’s no doubt about it. This is the mentality of just about every school that participates in college bass fishing. Week in and week out, college anglers compete against each other on some of the best lakes in the country. To perform well, and even win one of those events, is a great accomplis- hment. Now take that type of success and duplicate it dozens of times throughout the season, and you are looking at the formula it takes to win the Bass Pro Shops School of the Year presented by Abu Garcia title. The ACA School of the Year program was the first program of its kind to rank collegiate bass fishing clubs across all circuits (ACA, B.A.S.S, FLW) and provide the first true national collegiate fishing rankings based on team performance on the water at numerous collegiate events. The program illustrates the continued growth in collegiate bass fishing with expectations of over 350 school fis- hing teams competing this season.

GARRY MASON HEAD COACH - BETHEL UNIVERSITY “We sat down with our guys at the first of fall, when they got there, and we said ok guys we’re setting our sites on school of the year. To me, this is the most prestigious award that any college team or program can win. ”

NEIL EIBELER, CEO OF PURE FISHING “Partnering with the ACA and Bass Pro Shops Collegiate Bass Fishing Series is exciting. We are committed to providing ang- lers with the highest quality reels and rods, and this sponsorship demonstrates our dedication to the sport and support for these young competitors.”

TREVOR M c KINNEY M c KENDREE UNIVERSITY ”School of the Year is one of the most important aspects of college bass fishing. This year, anyone on our team could catch a big sack of fish at any tournament. It will be exciting to see how the rest of the season goes.”
