Committee, the head of the Estate Duty Office agreed that in future Statutory Certificates under Section ii (2) of the Finance Act 1884 will be issued instead of the non-statutory certificate No. 149 in any case where the statutory certificate is required. A statement on the subject has been submitted to the Head of the Estate Duty Office for approval and will be published in due course in the Society's Gazette. CIRCUIT COURT COSTS NEW rules of the Circuit Court Rules Committee prescribing scales of solicitors' party and party costs and counsel's fe'es in lieu of the scales contained in the Circuit Court Rules 1932 were signed by the Minister for Justice on July loth. The new scales of costs will come into operation on October ist, and it is understood that they will be on sale at the Government Publications Office at an eativ date.
