TRIBUTE TO JOHN CUNNINGHAM (TORERO BASEBALL, 1962-98)

John Cunningham accepts award from Joe Torre, former major league player and manager, fo r being named the District VIII Coach of the Year in 1971.

At the I 981 USD Alumni Game, Cunningham pre- sents former Torero John Wathan with a plaque for being the first USD baseball player to have played in a World Series. Wathan played and was later head coach of the Kansas Ci(v Royals.
