A community-favorite for all seasons Spotlight: Lions Park

Located in west Shakopee, just south of Sweeney Elementary, Lions Park is a popular place in all seasons. During the winter, the Lions Park hockey rink is one of the city’s busiest outdoor skating rinks with pick-up games and youth association practices. You’ll often find sledders taking advantage of the park’s slopes. In the spring, you can test your serving skills on the newly refurbished tennis courts or let the kids burn off winter’s cooped-up energy on the playground. SandVenture Aquatic Park is the place to be on hot summer days.

Host your family reunion or picnic in one of the park’s two shelters with electricity or in the Youth Building, all available for rent. Fall is a beautiful time of year as the park’s maple trees turn vibrant shades of red, orange and yellow. The 18-hole disc golf course brings out Frisbee enthusiasts from around the Twin Cities metro. Winter, spring, summer or fall - you’ll find something to do at Lions Park, 1103 Adams St. It truly is the best place for year-round recreation and fun!
