Shop at the Red Studio for antiques, vintage items, and one-of-a-kind finds. The inventory is always changing, and all proceeds go to support Island Commons. As we head off to our 4th of July family gathering, Michael and I are filled with gratitude for Chebeague Island. We feel so grateful for the rescue team. With their calm manner and kind words they helped us get through our worst day. Thanks to the boat crew who gave up their time to get us to the hospital. Thanks to our neighbors on Carter’s Point Road who reached out to visit and lift things. Thanks for the dog-walking help; thanks to all the people who visited, brought us cake, helped me get home late Sunday night, and shopped for us; and thank you to the many people who offered kind words and help on the bus and ferry. I am happy to say Michael is doing well. He can’t wait to get behind the wheel of his truck! I am hoping to keep him off the zipline. Our kids made a crash test dummy for him!! We feel so blessed to have landed on Chebeague Island! Beth Grunko Junior Golf Camp Family How does one define a family? Sometimes it is just the people you’re related to by blood and marriage, and sometimes you’re lucky enough to live in a place where everyone becomes a family in a time of need. That is what we have here on Chebeague. The night Scott’s boat caught fire, we had so many “family” members who jumped in to help and we feel so thankful to everyone. We are very grateful to those who jumped into their boats when the explosion took place. Thank you to John Layng and his two nephews and to Mark Lickus who were able to get Scott out of the water and into the Zodiac. Thank you to Ralph for going directly to Littlejohn to protect the survivor and ride into the hospital with the Yarmouth Rescue. Thank you to the Yarmouth Rescue for being there for the Town of Chebeague when in need. Scott is alive and healing today because of the efforts of our extended Chebeague family, and we are eternally grateful. From the Family of Scott McCollom Thankful
