Rachael Richards, the founder of Rachael Richards Realty, was no stranger to real estate when she entered the field in 2004. Rhonda Richards, Rachael’s mother, is a 30-year industry veteran who immersed Rachael in real estate at a young age. In fact, Rhonda still works on the team today. Rachael’s father, Colonel Ron Richards, is a retired Marine fighter pilot who instilled Rachael’s strong work ethic. At the beginning of Rachael’s real estate career, she was based in New York. She worked full-time as a flight attendant while commuting back-and-forth to Phoenix. When preparing to jump into real estate full-time, she spent every spare moment generating business with countless hours of cold-calling and knocking on doors—whatever it took. After only a few months working as a part-time agent, she earned the coveted “Rookie of the Year” award for sales production. When Rachael met her husband, Ben Quillinan, 20 years ago, they were working together at a ski resort. Even though they enjoyed the fun atmosphere, they were—and still are—very goal-oriented. It all started with the simple ambition to snowboard 100 days a year.

Both in business and as a family, Rachael and Ben’s personalities perfectly complement each other. Ben owned a successful photography business for 10 years before he joined forces with Rachael’s real estate team in 2011. His strengths jumpstarted the group’s marketing and management, allowing Rachael to focus on sales and communication concepts. Today, Rachael and Ben raise two very active sons while maintaining their competitive edge with endurance sports like marathons and Ironman triathlons. They’ve developed very tough mental fortitude and strong time- management skills through the rigorous training required for endurance sports. Their precise, dedicated schedule begins at 4am, allowing them to accomplish more each day than most think possible in a week.
