Disposition: 1. A student who is found to have carried, brought, used, or possessed a drug or alcohol in violation of the school medication and drug policies or has encouraged another student to have carried, brought, used or possessed a drug shall be subject to appropriate disciplinary action, as recommended by the principal in accordance with this Student Handbook. 2. Decisions by the principal regarding the appropriate disciplinary action may include but not be limited to substance abuse counseling, taking away privileges, juvenile court probation, court referral, suspension, expulsion, etc. Facts concerning the matter will be reported to the parents and either to the authorities, criminal justice system, and/or juvenile justice system including law enforcement as deemed most appropriate by the principal.
