DISC OF THE MONTH ZOMBIELAND We sometimes wonder where movies and television would be without zombies. Imagine no George A. Romero movies… No The Walking Dead … No Shaun of the Dead ! Even The Cranberries may not have landed their biggest ever hit… Of course, there’d also be no Zombieland , the 2009 flick taking the zom-com action route to great effect. In celebration of its tenth birthday, not only do we get the new cinematic sequel Zombieland: Double Tap , but we also get an anniversary release of the cult classic original on 4K Ultra HD. The work of director Ruben Fleischer, who most recently gave us the Marvel outing Venom , Zombieland introduces us to a US ravaged by a mutation

Not that they all start out as one big happy family, but hard times, adversity, Bill Murray and all that, and the four form a bond. IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE While not made specifically as a Christmas movie, more just set during that time of year, Frank Capra’s 1946 masterpiece starring Jimmy Stewart has since become a Christmastime tradition for many all over the world. This year families will be able to experience it looking better than ever before, with Paramount performing a painstaking restoration process based on the original negative, where possible, or 1940s fine grain masters. Traditionalists will rejoice, as the native 4K, HDR-enhanced presentation is in the original black and white – but everybody’s covered as there’s a colorised version included on the accompanying Blu-ray, along with a selection of new featurettes. “Say hello to my little friend!” is possibly one of the most popular movie quotes of all time, and of course it hails from the legendary 1983 Brian De Palma film Scarface . The tale of Cuba’s Tony Montana and his rise in the Miami drug world, portrayed so well by Al Pacino, is hitting 4K Ultra HD in style just in time for Christmas. The remastered image will also include HDR, while the audio will be a newly-minted DTS:X Master Audio affair. Now you’re talking to us, baby! 007: THE DANIEL CRAIG COLLECTION While the latest James Bond, Daniel Craig, is flitting around the world preparing the next 007 big screen extravaganza No Time to Die , his previous four adventures are hitting home on the 4K Ultra HD format. All wrapped up in one neat box set, it’s time to relive all the action, adventure, cars, quips, gadgets and amazing locations of Casino Royale , Quantum of Solace , Skyfall and Spectre with all the added joys of Dolby Vision High Dynamic Range enhancement and DTS-HD Master Audio sound.
