Incidents and breakdowns

If your vehicle is involved in an incident or breakdown you must take the following steps: ■ Leave the vehicle using the safest exit and stand well away from traffic – wear high visibility clothing. ■ Call the emergency services if required. ■ Contact Euro Car Parts Fleet for assistance on 0208 956 5030. ■ Do not attempt any repairs to the vehicle. ■ Use your Euro Car Parts Bump Card to record all details of an incident. Accidents must be reported to your line manager immediately. Failure to do so is classed as a gross misconduct offence.

If you have a camera and it is safe to do so, take photographs of the scene. If you have a chipped/damaged windscreen or window, call the relevant company from the contact list provided. If your vehicle is stolen, you must report it immediately to the police/gardai, you must then report it to Euro Car Parts Fleet and your Branch manager.

At Fault Accidents If you as the driver, are at fault, one of the following deductions will apply: a) Drivers under 21 £750.

b) 21 to 25 £500 c) Over 25 £250. *Euro equivalent will apply for ROI.

A completed deduction from salary form must be sent to the fleet department at the same time as sending the Driver Debrief Form, a completed accident report form, Drivers telematics score for the day and video footage. Deductions may be spread over 3 payroll months. Remember: These may be reduced if the accident is reported within the hour.
