West Coast stainless depot Marmon/Keystone’s Los Angeles branch has added a stainless hollow bar depot to enhance its breadth of stainless offerings to customers in the West Coast and Pacific Northwest. Material is available in both 304 and 316 grades for cut-to- length and full length orders. 6" OD for round stock and 3" to 4" OD for square stock. Main features include a self-loading table and storage of up to six programs that automatically determine the blade speed and feed rate required for materials. In place of coolant, a mist is sprayed on the blade and at the point of contact where the cut begins.

Both methods take 30 to 50 minutes and damage the environment: draining down dumps water; gas- freezing releases HFCs; and electric- freezing consumes considerable electricity.
