The prevalence of diseases that are associated with physical inactivity and poor lifestyle behaviours, such as obesity, cardiovascular disease and diabetes, continue to be major concerns impacting upon the health of the nation. Our foundation degree in Exercise, Health and Fitness covers a diverse range of topics. It examines the effect of lifestyle choices on health and the psychological determinants that influence lifestyle choices and the strategies that can be used to shape positive behaviour change. Essentially, the course will teach you how to effectively prescribe exercise to improve fitness and to manage and prevent disease. This will be done by experiential learning taking a very hands on approach to provide you the opportunity to develop your practical and employability skills set to enhance your career prospects. There are a wide range of careers to choose from and studying the foundation degree in Exercise, Health and Fitness along with the right dedication, can lead to a fulfilling career in the sector.

All suitably qualified applicants will be invited to attend an interview. This is designed to be an informal meeting, providing you with the opportunity to see if the degree is suitable for your needs.
