WHAT WILL I STUDY?

YEAR 1

As well as preparing for and attending lectures, seminars, tutorials and workshops, you will be taught through theoretical concepts and discussion, supported by practical application to the business environment.

Successful completion of this course will enable you to be qualified to seek employment in the general field of business and management. Previous graduates have gained employment in business administration and business disciplines including Marketing, Finance and Human Resource Management. Graduates have secured career progression and promotion in management roles including supervisory and assistant management levels or, graduate schemes for Tesco, the NHS and financial sector. Graduates can use the BA (Hons) Business Administration and Management degree to progress onto postgraduate study in related areas including teacher training.

Gain the knowledge, understanding and

transferable skills essential for leading and managing in the future work environment. It will build on your prior knowledge and understanding gained in general business and management qualifications allowing you to gain graduate status. Your understanding and critical awareness of general management and administration and the role of managers, leaders and administrators in all types Modules include: • Managerial Decision Making and Change • Managing Quality and Performance • Strategic Management • Leadership • Extended Research Project of organisations will be developed and explored.

HOWWILL I BE ASSESSED?

This degree uses different forms of assessment to test intellectual development, vocational capabilities and critical thinking. Assessment will take place through essays, case studies, reports, problem solving exercises, presentations, discussions and debates.
