WHO WILL BE TEACHING ME?

Learning will be theoretical and practical through lectures, workshops, demonstrations, seminars, group critiques, self- directed study, written work, presentations, group work, visits and guest lectures. Using industry standard software will enhance your learning experience enabling you to master the 3D modelling and related digital computer game skills. Teaching takes place in a dedicated light and spacious state-of-the-art game art laboratory, based in the former SmithKline Beecham building at the Town Centre campus. The Creative Arts department is friendly and approachable and of a size that enables us to know our students personally and be able to respond to their needs. Assessment is carried out throughout the three years of the course through projects, assignment work, design briefs, computer based work, presentations of artwork, industry critique and essays. A final year show in the third year will allow you to display your work to a wider audience, including influential industry advocates. HOWWILL I BE ASSESSED?

A highly experienced, passionate and enthusiastic lecturing team with a wide range of interests reflecting all areas of the gaming industry will work with you. Our lecturers have industry experience, including working on AAA game titles such as Wipeout, Mercenaries, Lord of the Rings and Star Wars Battlefront 1 and 2. You will be industry ready upon graduation. With core skills and the required self- understanding so that you will be able to effectively fit into a team, and learn new processes and software in an entry level role in the computer games industry. game development industry. In the last three years, graduates have gained employment with Rebellion and Sony in Liverpool, Travellers’ Tales in Knutsford and TT Fusion in Wilmslow.
