OVERVIEW The Digital and Creative Industries have been identified as a key growth sector for the national economy by the UK Government, specifically within the Northwest with the Northern Powerhouse Initiative. The resurgence of media opportunities with the development of MediaCityUK in Manchester, with many major networks relocating to the North, brings excellent career prospects with it. Our foundation degree in Media Production is practical and provides an in-depth knowledge of working on multi-platform channels in the media sector. The degree includes industry development with professional experience, to combine academic progress with practice and experience. You will gain an insight into the media and broadcasting industries to develop skills such as: camera operation, event management, radio broadcasting, sound recording and video editing. • The resurgence of media opportunities with the development of MediaCityUK in Manchester, with many major networks relocating to the North, brings excellent career prospects. • Develop skills to a professional standard for a whole host of career opportunities in pre-production, production and post-production within the audio and video industries. • Our Media facilities recently received a significant investment, which contains industry standard equipment, a brand new TV studio, infinity cove and editing suites.
