The BA (Hons) Criminal Justice top-up degree is a multi- disciplinary subject and has been designed to cover a wide spectrum of subject related modules. The course aims to further develop knowledge and understanding of crime and criminal justice through the delivery of a variety of modules to develop skills, which are required to work in the criminal justice system by ensuring that you can apply theory to practice in risk assessments, pre-sentence reports, action plans and intervention strategies. Turning paper inspiration into practical reality will be a central element of the course. Additionally, you will be introduced to both legal and criminological research skills, focusing on criminal law and criminal justice processes. Entering this degree, having completed our foundation degree or, perhaps with work experience in a relevant field, this degree combines rigorous academic activity to further enhance your knowledge and employability.

St Helens or achieved at a comparable college or university that has modules that correlate with the course. All applicants will be invited to attend an interview. This is designed to be an informal meeting, providing you with the opportunity to see if the course is suitable for your needs. It will also offer the lecturers the opportunity to discuss your career interests. A DBS check is also required.
