SOLICITORS' ANNUAL CERTIFICATES. Members are reminded that annual certifi– cates for the year ending 5th January, 1935, should be taken out and the duties paid thereon before 6th February, 1934. Certificates enabling Solicitors to practise in the Irish Free State are issued in the office of the Secretary of the Incorporated Law Society of Ireland, Solicitors' Buildings, Four Courts, Dublin, and the duties thereon are payable at the Stamp Office, Dublin Castle. A Northern Ireland Solicitor entitled to practise in the Free State, who desires to take out a Free State certificate, must obtain through his Dublin agent such certificate at the office of the Secretary of the Incorporated Law Society of Ireland, Solicitors' Buildings, Four Courts, Dublin. MEETINGS OF THE COUNCIL.

7th December. Twenty-seven members present.

Election of President and Viee-Presidents. The Council elected Mr. James J. Lynch to be President of the Society and Mr. George A. Overend and Mr. Philip J. O'Sullivan to be Vice-Presidents of the Society for the ensuing twelve months. Extra-ordinary members. A letter from the Southern Law Associ– ation was read giving the names of the following members as those elected as extra– ordinary members of this Council for the ensuing twelve months Mr. Alfred Exham (President), Mr. B. St. J. Galvin, Mr. J. J. Morgan, Mr. E. Emerson and Mr. P. J. Kavanagh. Statutes of 1932. A letter in reply was read from the Con– troller of the Stationery Office in which it was stated that the complete " copy " for the bound Statutes, 1932, is with the printer, that it is of considerable volume, but steps are being taken to have the printing and binding expedited so that publication may take place early in the New Year.
