(3) This section applies to every person who is employed in the Civil Service of the Government of Saorstat Eireann and who is an envoy extraordinary and minister plenipotentiary, a high com– missioner, a charge d'affaires, a counsellor of legation, a first secretary of legation, a second secretary of legation, a first secretary of the office of high commis– sioner, a second secretary of the office of high commissioner, or an attache. (4) This section also applies to every person who is employed in the Civil Service of the Government of Saorstat Eireann and who is a consul-general, a consul, or a vice-consul. (5) This section also applies to every person who is an honorary consul or an honorary vice-consul and who is appointed to that office by the Minister for External Affairs. EXAMINATIONS. October, 1934.

An Intermediate Examination will be held upon Monday the 1st day of October. Notice of intention to attend the examina– tion should be lodged in the Secretary's Office before the llth September. A Final Examination will be held upon Tuesday and Wednesday the 2nd and 3rd days of October. Notice of intention to attend the examination should be lodged in the Secretary's Office before 13th September. A " First Examination " in Irish will be held on Friday the 5th day of October. Notice of intention to attend the examination should be lodged in the Secretary's office before the 15th September. A Preliminary Examination will be held upon Monday and Tuesday the 8th and 9th days of October. Notice of intention to attend the examination should be lodged in the Secretary's Office before the 18th September. MICHAELMAS SITTINGS LECTURES, 1934. Senior Lectures will begin upon Tuesday the 16th October, 1934, at 2.15 p.m. in the Solicitors' Buildings, Four Courts. Notice of intention to attend and fee of three guineas should be lodged in the Secretary's Office before the 1st day of October. Books for Senior Lectures : Strahan's Law of Property, 7th Edn., and Snell's Equity, 18th Edn. Junior Lectures will begin upon Wednes– day the 17th October, 1934, at 2.15 p.m. in the Solicitors' Buildings, Four Courts.
