OBITUARY. MR. LEOPOLD McC. L. Dix, Solicitor, died on the 9th March, 1935. Mr. Dix served his apprenticeship with his father, the late Mr. Henry T. Dix, Dublin ; was admitted in Hilary Sittings, 1887, and practised as a member of the firm of H. T. Dix and Sons, at 24 Clare Street, Dublin. MR. TIMOTHY J. HUNT, Solicitor, died on the 13th March, 1935, at his residence, 45 Abbey Street, Ennis. Mr. Hunt served his apprenticeship with the late Mr. Michael C. O'Meara, Dublin ; was admitted in Trinity Sittings, 1894, and practised at Ennis, Co. Clare. MR. FREDERICK D. DARLEY, Solicitor, died on the 20th March, 1935, at his residence, " Ferney," Stillorgan, Co. Dublin. Mr. Darley served his apprenticeship with the late Mr. John Maunsell, Dublin ; was admitted in Michaelmas Sittings, 1894, and practised as a member of the firm of Daiiey, Orpen and Synnott at 30-31 Kildare Street, Dublin. ___ MR. WILLIAM W. CARRUTHERS, Solicitor, died on the 29th March, 1935, at his residence, 17 Palmerston Park, Dublin. Mr. Carruthers was admitted in Hilary Term, 1877, and practised as a member of the firm of Carruthers and Gamble, at 39 Fleet Street, Dublin, up to 1931, when he retired. He acted as one of the Auditors of the accounts of the Society from 1894 till 1928.

MEETING OF THE COUNCIL.

21st March. Twenty members present. The late Mr. F. D. Darley.

The Council passed a resolution expressing its deep regret at the death of Mr. Frederick D. Darley, of Dublin, and its sympathy with Mrs. Darley and the family in their bereave ment. Courts of Justice Bill, 1934. The President reported to the Council on the interview which took place on 8th March between the Attorney-General, with whom was Mr. Roche, Secretary of the Minister for Justice, and a deputation from the Council in reference to amendments to the Bill suggested by the Council. A letter was read from the Secretary of the County Kerry Sessions Bar enclosing report from that Bar containing suggested amendments to the Bill. The Council con sidered the amendments the purport of most of which had already been previously dealt with by the Council. County Registrars' Association. Correspondence with the President of the County Registrars' Association was dealt with.
