Discussion

A recurring task is made up of subtasks that represent each occurrence of the recurring task. You can edit the recurring task, which will affect all subtasks, or edit each individual subtask. For example, if you schedule a recurring task for every Monday and a few members of the project team take a vacation day on the same Monday, you can reschedule the subtask for another day. Make changes to subtasks in the Task Information dialog box. Depending on the part of a subtask you edit, the changes will remain or be overwritten if you make changes in the Recurring Task Information dialog box later. If you change the duration or name of a subtask, the changes remain even if you change this information in the Recurring Task Information dialog box. If you change the date of a subtask and change the date in the Recurring Task Information dialog box, the change is overwritten.
