An air mail censor covered from Shanghai to British Guiana, on reverse bearing SYS Dah Tung print 30c x 2, $20, New York print $1 and $2, tied by bilingual ‘SHANGHAI’ cds, “NEWYORK’ transits, dated ‘28.4.43’ and ‘4.5.43’ and BRITISH GUIANA/18.7.43’ arrival cds. with ‘Examined By 5812’ censor seal tape. During the Pacific War in 1942, this cover was stuck at US post office for more than 18 months, moreover a cover from China to Caribbean is rare.
