Top Tips for a Great Presentation

Elevate your voice By breathing into the diaphragm, you can use the power of the out breath to project your voice to the back of the room.

Make eye contact

In order to really build a rapport with your listeners, eye-contact is essential. Don’t direct your gaze to a spot at the back – work the room!

Structure effectively

Every good speech needs an introduction, a body, and a conclusion. Originality in these areas will help to engage your listeners.

Use vocal variety

Nobody wants to listen to a robotic, monotonous voice. Changes in pitch, pace and tone will add a richness to your speech, and make it interesting to listen to.

Keep it simple

Information overload can lead to people switching off from what you’re saying. Choose a small number of key points and talk about them in detail.

Speak spontaneously

Plan what you want to say, but don't learn it by heart, or read from a script. Keep it natural.
