Fire Extinguishers- they are only good for 11 years and must be replaced when the date stamped into the extinguisher expires.

Distress signals-Flares Horn, ext. Battery covers and connections

With a current Safety inspection sticker, State and local authorities will only stop a vessel if they observe a violation in progress. Border Patrol and Coast Guard can stop a vessel without reason. Get your vessel inspected and display the sticker to avoid being stopped. Free inspections will be done at the Club the weekend of the ABYA Spring Dinner Dance June 1 st , 2 nd , and 3 rd . Correspondence All Showed the board and flag the special plaque that was made for P/C Whyard to be awarded upon is retirement from the club after 35 years. Commodore Pagel received a several correspondences from Colleen Hall. First item was she requested that a First Mates application and events to be handed out during the new member interviews. Second, she suggested we place recycling bins for cans and bottles behind bar. Third, she’d like the board to consider mailing First Mates membership info out with the annual membership dues packet. Lastly, suggested a ladies Elite Brigade ball cap to be handed out to the ladies who participate. It was suggested Tom Martin In Tom’s absence, Commodore Pagel read report. Bill wanted to make a motion to accept new members he interviewed recently. Kevin and Erin Rae. Club House – Scott Greenfelder This Saturday will try to get water going. Has parts for the stove. Ian asked about the progress of the roof on the second floor. Scott indicated it was moving along. Harbor & Grounds Tom Altobelli Tom showed a proposed sign to be placed throughout the harbor that stats NCYC is a private club and you must come to clubhouse for well assignment. Plan is to have a sign company make four. Also informed everyone that he is planning on buying Weber grills for the island. He received a good price for them. They were a little higher than the ones we typically use. He believes we will save money in the long run due to their much long durability life.
