Hubbell Power Systems, Inc. (HPS) partnered with film producer, Tytan Pictures, on the second installment of the Storm Soldiers project to tell a more personal story of the commitment and sacrifice that comes with being a utility line worker. After the overwhelming response to their first collaboration, Storm Soldiers , Tytan and HPS continue with a gripping story of what it takes to be a Storm Soldier. The 75-minute documentary follows six line families from across the United States over the course of 15 months and documents moments of accomplishment, deep reflection and great loss. A director’s cut of the film was released to a limited audience at the International Lineman’s Rodeo in Kansas City. The film crew logged more than 40,000 miles to tell the personal journey of each line family as they struggle to restore infrastructure in their communities and maintain balance on the home front. This cinematic feature documentary leaves nothing on the table. “After filming alongside these linemen for the last three years, I have a healthy respect for the danger and fear that comes with the job as well as the passion and love they have for their work,” commented Director Jim Stone. “Looking through the lens I see an honest portrayal of guts and glory wrapped up in their day-to-day lives. And we expect the audience will be able to connect with that honesty.” Ken Carlson, VP, Global Sales and Marketing Services for HPS said, “ Storm Soldiers II is an industry film in the truest sense. We agreed to open it up to sponsorship in an effort to reach the widest audience possible. As the industry faces a mass exit of skilled linemen we are doing our part to raise awareness and possibly inspire a whole new generation of line men and women.” Sponsors include: Chance ® Linemen Grade Tools ™ , Altec ® , Inc., Burndy ® Inc., Kermel ® , IFD, NorthWestern Energy, and the IBEW.

The movie and other Storm Soldiers merchandise will be available for purchase at shop.stormsoldiersthemovie.com. HPS donates 100 percent of its proceeds to charities that support linemen and their families.
