Der Wildpark Poing wurde 1959 gegründet und bietet auf 570.000 m² ganzjährig die Möglich- keit, einheimische Wildarten aus der Nähe zu sehen. Das Besondere an diesem Park ist die naturnahe Gestaltung der einzelnen Gehege, die dem natürlichen Lebensraum der Tiere nachempfunden sind. Dadurch leben u.a. einheimisches Dam-, Muffel- und Schwarzwild, sowie Luchse, Wölfe und Braunbären fast wie in freier Wildbahn. Auf einem 4 km langen Wanderweg können die Tiere in ihrer natürli- chen Umgebung gesichtet werden. In einem großzügigen Waldareal bewegen sich Mufflons und Damhirsche frei herum und lassen sich sogar füttern. Auch Schafe, Ziegen oder Ponys können von den Besuchern aus nächster Nähe bestaunt werden. Zudem gibt es eine Greif- vogelshow und einen Abenteuerspielplatz. A nature experience for the whole family. Wild- park Poing was founded in 1959. In an area of 570,000 sqm, it offers the opportunity to observe indigenous animals up close, all year round. What makes this park special is the natural construction of the compounds, designed to mimic the natural habitat of the animals. This enables indigenous fallow deer, moufflon, wild boars, as well as lynxes, wolves and brown bears to live almost as they would in the wild. On a forest trail spanning almost 4 km, you can watch the animals in their natural habitat. The mufflons and fallow deer, which are able to move about freely, can even be fed by the visitors. One can also get up close to sheep, goats and ponies. There is a bird of prey demonst- ration and a adventure playground, too.
