Aus Liebe zum Eis eröffnete Giorgio Ballabeni im Jahr 2006 in der Theresienstraße sein erstes Geschäft. Anfangs wurde er noch von seinen Kollegen ausgelacht, weil er nur zwölf Eissorten angeboten hat. Doch den Kunden war und ist die Qualität der Eissorten offenbar so wichtig, dass sie sich seit Jahren in die lange Schlange vor den ballabenischen Eisdielen anstellen, die schnell über die ganze Straße reichen kann. Bis heute gibt es selten neue Sorten, Inhaber Giorgio Ballabeni setzt auf Konstanz und das schätzen und lieben seine Kunden. Mittlerweile betreibt Ballabeni auch seine eigene Eis-Werk- statt am Stiglmaierplatz. Pure ice creampleasure. For the love of ice cream, Giorgio Ballabeni opened his first ice cream parlour in Theresienstraße in 2006. To begin with, fellow ice cream makers laughed at him, as he only offered twelve flavours. But evidently, the quality of the flavours was so important to his customers that within a very short time long queues, which sometimes go all the way across the street, had started to form at his ice cream parlours. Even now, he seldom introduces new flavours, instead relying on consistency, and that's exactly what appeals to his customers. Ballabeni also runs an ice cream workshop at Stiglmaierplatz.
