Section III - Clayton Feedwater Pumps & Water Systems
Water supply piping to the feedwater pump skid are the responsibility of the installer. For deter- mining the proper water supply pipe sizing, see Section 2.12. 3.3 CUSTOMER CONNECTIONS The required customer connections for the typical water system components and feedwater pump supply included with open and deaerator feedwater receiver systems are identified in Tables 3-1 and 3-2 below. The type and size of each is provided on supplemental drawings and instructional literature.

3.4 OPEN SYSTEM
(Refer to P&ID Drawings R-16099 and R-16100.) An Open System is one in which the makeup water, condensate returns (system and separator trap returns), chemical treatment, and heating steam are blended in an atmospheric Feedwater Receiver Tank, (vented to atmosphere - under no pressure). Open Feedwater Receiver Systems are sized to provide the necessary volume of feedwater and sufficient retention time for the chemical treatment to react. Conden-
