SUPPLEMENT III - FLUID HEATER

3.1 FLUID HEATERS The Clayton Fluid Heater is provided with an off frame mounted steam separator. This type of unit carries a “DZ” model designation. A stand pipe with ASME safety valve remains on the main frame of the Fluid Heater. This type of equipment layout requires remote mounting of the fluid separator with interconnecting piping between the main shut off valve, mounted on the stand pipe, and the inlet of the separator. The piping between the stand pipe mounted main steam shut off valve, and the inlet to the Fluid Heater should be run full size with a minimum of elbows. The remote mounted separator is available without legs, for mounting in the steam header, or with legs/skirt for floor mounting close to the Fluid Heater.
