Rowing and Academics Members of the University of San Diego crew program ex perience success not only in the water, but also in the classroom. Since its incep– tion, team members have found that success in both goes hand in hand. The physical demands of rowing attract the type of student– athlete who is highly motivated, di sciplined and goal- ori ented. Those traits are easily carried over into the classroom. This is noticeabl e in the courses of study chosen by team members as well as in the number of team members that continue on with their edu cation after gTaduation.
