Vitamin B 6

 B 6 was discovered and given its designation in  1934 as cure for dermatitis in rats.  B 6 was isolated in 1938 and the structure  determined in 1939.  The other two forms of B 6 were discovered in  1945  B 6 was given the name Pyridoxine to indicate its  structural relationship with pyridine.
