Wild Zimbabwe A THRILLING SAFARI AND SPECTACULAR LODGES

Experience a safari like no other—brimming with activities and phenomenal wildlife. Zimbabwe, renowned for having the most highly trained safari guides in all of Africa, is where we can leave the safari vehicle behind and follow the wildlife on foot—it’s thrilling! As we explore Hwange

Gorge. After high tea on the terrace of the famed Victoria Falls Hotel, we board our private vintage sleeper train for an unforgettable overnight journey to Hwange National Park, with a three- course dinner on board. Days 3-5 Hwange National Park / Camelthorn Lodge Stylish Camelthorn Lodge is set on community lands in the untouched and game-rich southern end of Hwange, Zimbabwe’s first and largest national park. With private gate access, we’ll explore the Ngamo Plains, known for lion, leopard, zebra, giraffe, and the infamous cheetah clan known as the “Bomani brothers.” We’ll also view elephant from a below-ground blind and walk to school with the local children—and see how we do at learning their click language! Days 6-10 Nehimba Lodge / Zambezi National Park / Zambezi Sands A game drive brings us to dreamy Nehimba Lodge, surrounded by rock outcrops and sand rivers. Here our thatched chalets encircle a waterhole beloved by throngs of elephants—we’ll see them up close right from the deck. In Zambezi National Park, our award-winning Zambezi Sands lodge positions us for canoeing amid the Siansimba Islands and a private Zambezi cruise at sunset (with sundowners!). Depart on Day 10 via Victoria Falls or join one of our extensions.
