We attended a few Cal Noyon’s Horsemanship Clinics we were able to take a few people both young and adults this summer. We continue to learn something new each time Cal and his wife

Gerri Groshong volunteered this fall to be a youth leader at our church New Life Community Church in Gardner. She reached out to me to see if LLR would be interested in participating with her Mentor Group this year. So, we have started our second mentor group this fall with LLR. We are working through the book “My Time with God.” We read daily from this book and come together each week to discuss what we are learning and how this has been pertaining to our daily walk. We are working with the horses as well. Last week we worked on Leadership skills from the ground and took the horses on a walk down the road. A passerby stopped and said to me “I may be wrong but aren’t they supposed to be riding those horses?” I laughed and said, “No you are not wrong, they are learning leadership skills from the ground first.” “If you can’t lead from the ground you shouldn’t ride.” He said, “Oh yes that

We enjoyed this clinic immensely. Working cattle is not easy by all means. Understanding how to communicate to them on horseback is challenging work. If communication is broken the struggle begins and makes things so much more difficult than it could be if you stay focused and keep effective communication going with your horse and team. As I thought about this was process it reminded me of when we stop communicating to God and start relying on ourselves to work or handle our lives. The struggles we have become so much harder to handle. The result is chaos that scatters us, just like losing communication when working the cattle. If you don’t keep focused on God, you will lose peace and experience anxiety and stress i.e. chaos. It is important to remember that He is always with us through it all. Our part is to continue to communicate with Him every day and stay in His word. The result is amazing hope and peace will be with you during the most challenging times. Just talk to Him always, every day, all the time.

Kim are great examples of true Godly leaders, teaching with amazing teamwork and are definitely horse whisperers we Brittany and Chance

Vega and Skeet Vega and I attended our last Clinic for the year in October. “Horsemanship through the Body Control.” During this clinic we were taught how to communicate clearly to your horse through body language, as well we were taught how to read and understand cattle to work and handle them appropriately. It was such a fun experience, she and I both learned so much together.
