This quarry produces quality aggregates for the construction and built environment, the civils industry, the precast and retail sector. During 2014, AfriSam erected a 70 m³ per hour readymix plant at Saldanha Bay to ensure that customers across the entire Saldanha municipal area have ready access to quality concrete. AfriSam operates a fleet of over 50 readymix trucks in the Western Cape transporting this material from its six readymix plants in the area, including the recently established plant in the Saldanha Bay Industrial Development Zone, to customers across the Western Cape. Its aggregates are supplied from quarries in Durbanville and Malmesbury. AfriSam works with its customers to accommodate specific material requirements and mix designs. AfriSam will continue to provide the high level of responsiveness for which it is known in the Western Cape.
