TJiis school is situated at Christianshavn and was endowed in 1800 by the Reverend Mr.Massmann, Knight of the order of Danncbroge, who until his death in October 1816 was the head director of the establish­ ment. In remembrance of the founder it was ordained that it should be called after his name.
