A most superb altar of Ebony which was formerly in the palace ofllusum , and brought from thence in 1751; it is eight feet h igh , and five feet in breadth, and so richly ornamented with embossed figures, that the silver alone weighs sixty six pounds; these figures represent the Bufferings of Christ; this beautiful piece of workmanship • ' 8
