Charlottenlund.

This Palace is the summer residence of His Serene Highness Prince William of Ilessc, and is about one Danish Mile from Copenhagen; the gardens arc laid out >vith taste; they command a bcautifnl view of the Sound, and the opposite shore of Sweden; the grounds near this palace arc open to the public, and arc the fa- vourito resort of the inhabitants of Copenhagen. In the wood adjoining the garden are tents with . i 1 every refreshment for the accomodation of the public.

The Church-Yard

is situated at a short distance from the Northern gate, S % ! and is laid out similar to Pcre la Chaise at Paris; out of tlxc Eastern gate arc two in a more simple style; one for the Navy, and the other for the Military.

Island o f Moen.

When I first conceived the idea of describing Co­ penhagen and its environs; I never thought of noticing this Island, but as far as my abilities allow me, I will attenrpt to describe some of its natural and pictur­ esque beauties, as a guide to strangers visiting this , r ) V t romantic spot.
