Friheds - Stotien. The pillar of Freedom is erected at a short distance from the Western-Gate. This monument was erected in commemoration of the liberty granted to the peasants of Denmark. It is built of Bornholm-Stone, and on the East-side is the folloAving inscription: ,,Kongen kjendte at Uorgerfrihcd , Icslemt veil retfeer~ dig Lov, giver Kjccrlighcd til Fmdrcneland, Mod til dots Jam, Lyst til Kundskah, AttraaC til Hid, Jlaab om Held.’1
