Amongst this collection is one hook in the ancient Norwegian language ; it is of great antiquity , and describes the most ancient laws of that old Nation. The manuscripts of Iceland, and India arc volumi­ nous , hut the greatest curiosity to he noticed is one Volume in Runic characters, which is the only hook of this description in existence; it contains the most ancient laws of Denmark. The old seals and letters of Norway are remarkable, and a hook called Edda is very worthy of notice ; it is descriptive of the most ancient Northern Mythology. The Classenian Library consisting of 30,000 Volumes is open for the accommo­ dation of the Public every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thurs­ day, and Friday from 11 until 2 Oclock. Major General John Frederick Classen nnd his brother Peter Herlch Classen, Privy Counsellor to Ilia Danish Majesty were founders of this library ; it is situated No. 120 in Amalicgade, and consists of a large collection of mathematical, physical and geographical works. Amongst the valuable collection of hooks which form this library is a superb edition of botanical paintings in 70 Volumes by John S. Ilcrncr and which was presented by his present Majesty,when Prince Royal of Denmark; there is also a majestic description of Egypt in 8 volumes
