CLASS OF 2003 BURSARY TOTAL AS AT MAY 31, 2017

CLASS REPS: Jordan Hartkorn, Jennifer Lui and Laura Stoll Womersley In Toronto, Jessica (Jess) Pezim is responsible for campus recruitment at CIBC. In 2016, Jess and her husband Paul welcomed their first child Sophie to their family. Jacqueline Young and her husband welcomed their second child Oliver Tsolov on October 14, 2016. Leah Dietrich has started a new role in gender diversity and inclusion working with CIBC and 30% Club Canada to accelerate progress for women on boards and in C-suites. She has also been appointed vice-chair on the board of Theatre Ontario and continues to mentor newcomers to Canada. Amanda Brennan enjoys her role as in-house legal counsel to Orange Air Ambulance. Last year, Amanda also gave talks on health law and privacy at the Ontario Bar Association, the Canadian Institute, and Osgoode Hall Law School’s health law certificate program. Jennifer Lui is the marketing manager at VarageSale, a Canadian tech startup that helps families buy and sell items online in local communities. Tiffany Wong is a licensed professional engineer in the province of Ontario and attained her degree in chemical engineering from McMaster University. She is serving a term with the Government of Canada as senior environmental specialist, supporting federal agencies such as the Department of National Defence and Transport Canada in executing environmental assessment, remediation and construction programs. Jessica Zive is a family physician and is currently completing a fellowship in palliative and hospice medicine. Romaana Shariff and her husband welcomed their son Kaleb Zihn Karmali. She runs her law practice Long Shariff & Associates in Stouffville, Ontario and practises primarily family law. She and her family now call Stouffville home. In Oakville, Kristen Moore became a licensed psychologist and is working in a busy private practice. She has also begun building a caseload in

Toronto, with the hope of one day owning her own practice closer to home. She and her husband are house-hunting in this crazy Toronto market. In Edmonton, Kathleen O’Connor and her husband were thrilled to welcome their son Sam Alexander into the world in May 2016. In New York, Jennifer (Jenny) Trevelyan Banwell is a fourth-grade teacher at a charter school in the South Bronx. She and her husband welcomed their daughter Taylor in December 2016. In September, Laura Stoll Womersley began a new position as head of mathematics and science at Pathways School in London, England, specializing in educating children with emotional and behavioural disorders. Since then, she has also taken on head of curriculum and planning. She is a partner at Rochester Tuition Centre in Kent and continues her doctorate work at the University of Greenwich. She and her husband live in Maidstone and enjoy travelling in their rare spare time. In Ireland, Carling Cheung is excited to be graduating from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. She will move home to be a family medicine resident at McMaster University. Britt Embry is in her third season of farming at Hearts & Roots, the five-acre organic vegetable farm that she owns and operates with her partner Justin in Southwestern Manitoba. In her spare time, she raises livestock and keeps bees. Sonia Agrawal is working with Watson at IBM to make customers’ lives easier in the areas of marketing, commerce and supply chain. She still lives with her parents in Richmond Hill, but does not have any cats yet.
