classmate Sarah Stanfield Nyland . After 45 years in Vancouver, Patricia (Pat) Wilson Scarlett has moved to Kelowna. In her spare time, she plays bridge, attends exercise class, walks with a group, belongs to a book club, attends church and works on genealogy. Last year, she travelled to Spain and Portugal. These activities and travel are typical of those in our class who are blessed with reasonably good health and mobility. Among them are Frances (Fran) Smith Stronach, Paige Wadsworth McDermott, Ann Hutchison Carley, Jennifer (Jeff) Weatherstone Neal,

Cynthia (Cyndy) Thomas Smith and Mary Risley , who is now in transition from teaching cooking to running a food rescue organization in San Francisco. Finally, Joan (Joanie) Kingsmill Roper discovered a newspaper article dating back to the late 1950s when she was a Simpson’s Club representative for Havergal. It was about Joan and a fellow representative from another school. In an effort to reconnect, Joan sent it to the school, resulting in a catch-up call between Joan and her long-ago friend, as well as a press clipping for inclusion in the archives…Havergal connects!

The Class of 1961 celebrated their 55th Reunion last fall.

of our reunions in her home and sadly passed away last summer. Nevertheless, nearly 40 classmates gathered to celebrate our long-lasting friendships and to toast those no longer with us. It was obvious with many of us celebrating our 75th birthdays this year that Sarah (Sally) Taylor ’s quote
