Superintendent New Castle Correctional Facility, New Castle, IN

This position is the chief administrator of the facility and works cooperatively with regional and local management to develop and attain the goals and objectives of the facility according to the policy direction of the company and within the scope defined by the client agency. This position will report to the VP of Regional Operations and has budgetary responsibility for all facility expenses. Primary duties and responsibilities include planning and providing leadership for the administration, security and treatment programs of the facility; making long-range plans and schedules; setting goals and establishing objectives to achieve such plans; developing and maintaining close working relationships with the client departments and their representatives and more. Minimum requirements include a bachelor’s degree in behavioral sciences or a related field supplemented by courses in business administration and a minimum of 10 years of work experience in a correctional or detention facility at the minimum level of associate Facility Administrator or Warden of a correctional facility, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience required.
