nature, a new family, and a new Lord to lead and guide you (Eph. 4.20-24). He has enlisted you into his army, and outfitted you for your journey ahead. So, dear disciple of Jesus, welcome to the family, and welcome to the war! If you have not been baptized, talk with your Bible study leader, Christian friend, or pastor about your desire and need to be baptized. Be open to following your local church’s process to be prepared to be baptized, and follow through as soon as possible. Christ commanded all who believe to be baptized, a sign of our union with him and a public declaration of our allegiance to Jesus and his Kingdom (Mark. 16.14-16; Matt. 28.18-20). Don’t wait; Baptism is an outward sign of God’s inward grace given to you through the finished work of Jesus on the Cross. Obey him, and be baptized soon!

By faith I have responded to God’s forgiving grace, making me a blameless child of God, rescued from the dominion of darkness into the kingdom of the Son.

Affirmation

The Te Deum Laudamus is a prayer that has been recited by Christians since the fourth century. It is attributed to Bishop Nicetas of Dacia, c. 335 414, but legend ascribes it to a spontaneous proclamation of Ambrose when he baptized Augustine. You Are God (Te Deum Laudamus)

Prayer

The glorious company of apostles praise you. The noble fellowship of prophets praise you. The white-robed army of martyrs praise you. Throughout the world the holy church acclaims you; Father, of majesty unbounded, your true and only Son, worthy of all worship, and the Holy Spirit, advocate and guide.
