Lesson : The Enlistment We Make • 

You, Christ, are the king of glory, the eternal Son of the Father. When you became man to set us free you did not shun the virgin’s womb. You overcame the sting of death and opened the kingdom of heaven to all believers. You are seated at God’s right hand in glory. We believe that you will come and be our judge. Come then, Lord and help your people, bought with the price of your own blood, and bring us with your saints to glory everlasting. Eternal Father, my maker and Father of my Lord Jesus Christ, thank you so much for being so gracious to us in sending Jesus down to save us. We did not deserve your love or your forgiveness, but still, you cared for us, sent him to show us the way, and offered him up in our place as a sacrifice for sin. You have sealed us with the Holy Spirit, adopted us into your family, and freed us from the fear of death and eternal punishment. Now, what should I offer you in the light of such love and mercy? I give you my heart, my life, my money and time, and all my relationships. While I know it will undoubtedly take me time to get to know you, I want you to know that I am ready for a new life, a new direction, and a new journey. Make me a part of your great Story, O God, and lead me by the Spirit you have given me. I will honor you in what I do, as you help me. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
