Chocolate Covered Strawberries

Ingredients: - 10 ounce package dark chocolate (285 g) - 10 ounce package white chocolate (285 g) - 2 pounds fresh strawberries stems attached - Red food colouring* (optional)

Directions:

Start by washing the strawberries and then pat them fully to dry.

Microwave the dark chocolate in 30 second intervals, removing and stirring at each 30 second interval, until the chocolate has melted. Stir often, making sure not to burn the chocolate! Do this for both the white and dark chocolate. Holding a strawberry by the stem, dip into melted chocolate of choice, lift and twist slightly, letting the excess chocolate fall back into the bowl. Place the strawberry on parchment paper. Repeat with the rest of the strawberries, alternating dipping the strawberries between dark chocolate and white chocolate as desired for different colour variation. Let cool. Then, dip a fork in the melted white chocolate and drizzle the white chocolate over the dark chocolate dipped strawberries and vice versa (dark over white).

*Optional: add a few drops of red food colouring to the melted white chocolate to create a pink coloured chocolate for dipping or drizzling.
