Safety Moment

Summer cleanup is well under way and with that floor work is upon us. Please take some time and remind your folks to work safely while getting the schools ready for fall. In the United States, 849 people died of work injuries caused by slips, trips, and falls in 2016, according to the latest statistics from the U.S. Department of Labor’s Bureau of Labor Statistics. According to the National Safety Council (NSC), approximately 25,000 slip, trip, and fall injuries occur daily in the Unites States. These injuries are the top cause of preventable deaths among people aged 65 to 85 and over, the NSC reports.
