Estes Park Estes Park

Report to the Selectmen 2021 Estes Park is located on Chicopee Road in the northern end of Buxton and is open to the public from dawn until dusk. The 12-acre parcel was donated to the Town by Ralph Estes in 1975 for recreational use. The gravel driveway leads to an open field which includes a softball diamond, two dugouts and some off-street parking. Bonny Eagle Little League, which includes Bonny Eagle Softball, uses this area for a practice field. Volunteers repaired and painted both dugouts in 2021. The wooded area behind the ballfield can be accessed by foot and is regularly used by people taking a stroll, dog walking, snowshoeing or cross-country skiing. A rest area adjacent to Chicopee Road is frequented by cell phone users and is a quiet pullout for commuters. Maintenance of the park this year included some clearing of overgrown terrain and underbrush between the field and Chicopee Road.
