CUI’s VGS-B power supplies carry single output voltages of 12, 24, 30, and 48 Vdc, depending on the series, and an adjustable output trim. While most of the series are convection cooled, the VGS-250B and VGS-350B series both feature built-in cooling with a temperature-controlled fan. All models further feature a screw terminal interface, along with over current, over voltage, and over temperature protections. Safety approvals for the VGS-B series include UL and EN 60950-1 as well as EN 55032 for conducted and radiated emissions. Antenova has also added an external matching feature to compensate for any de-tuning of the antenna caused by proximity to other components, such as a plastic case or a battery. The clear-out area required by the antenna module is only 7.0mm x 5.0mm. This, with its tiny size makes the M20047-1 perfect for small positioning devices where space on the PCB is tight, for example in wearable devices, asset tracking, sports cameras and equipment and smart watches. The M20047-1 is a useful alternative to Antenova’s existing “Sinica” antenna, part no SR4G008, which Antenova also recommends for accurate positioning. This M20047-1 was first announced at CES in Las Vegas, earlier this year. Antenova’s antennas are specifically designed for easy integration and the datasheet and evaluation kit for the M20047-1 are available from www.antenova.com. Antenova also provides full engineering support, antenna testing, tuning and integration for its customers.

Samtec Releases Flyover™ QSFP28 Cable System Samtec, a privately held $713MM global manufacturer of a broad line of electronic interconnect solutions, proudly announces the Flyover™ QSFP28 Cable System. This new system can support 28G NRZ/56G PAM 4 data rates per channel, and it provides system design flexibility. Samtec’s Flyover™ QSFP28 Cable System allows sideband signaling via press-fit contacts to improve airflow, reduce loss, and mitigate skew. This system can provide aggregate data rates of 100Gbps NRZ/200 Gbps PAM4, and is compatible with all MSA QSFP pluggables. A variety of heat sink options are available and allow a heat dissipation of approximately 3.5W per cable. The Samtec Flyover™ QSFP28 Cable System consists of the FQSFP assembly, the QSFPC cage, HS-QSFP heat sink, and LP-FQSFP light pipe. The FQSFP offers multiple End 2 options including DCH, ECUE, and ARC6.

C hassis Mount Ac-Dc Power Supplies Housed in Low Profile Metal Case CUI’s Power Group today announced a new line of compact, chassis mount ac-dc power supplies housed in an enclosed metal case. The VGS-B series offers power ratings from 35 to 350 W with low 30 mm profiles and compact packages as small as 99 x 82 x 30 mm (3.89 x 3.22 x 1.18 in). Delivering no-load power consumption as low as 0.3 W and an operating temperature range of -20 to +70°C, these rugged, metal enclosed power modules are ideal for reducing standby power usage and optimizing available space within commercial and industrial applications.
