Allow the chromatographic system to equilibrate for at least 1 hour at the initial conditions. Ensure the 292

system pressure and the baseline are stable and there are no leaks. Start the series with one injection of 293

water (to check the baseline), then inject at least 3 times a working standard solution and check stability 294

of peak retention times and response. Check the separation by comparison with a previous analysis if 295 available. Examples of suitable chromatograms and calibration curves are given in section N . 296
