Monday, September 3, 2018 Labor Day I sent you “Buck” today. He was such a good horse. He made you proud as an AQHA World Show Finalist in Amateur Heading (2004) and as a Reserve Champion in Amateur Heading at the Buckskin World Show (2003) I know you loved him as much as I loved watching you rope on him. But his legs could not hold him on this earth anymore. A beam of light came down through a crack in the clouds as the veterinarian pulled in the barn lot. Tears came from his eyes as his pain left him. I know that you welcomed him, and he has been restored like you.

Go now, Sue, and rope the Devils steers!
